Reference standards
In developing the website and the app we take as a reference WCAG 2.2 level AA and the applicable version of the EN 301 549 standard. We do not publish a declared level of conformance: we will do so only following a documented accessibility audit.
Measures already in place
- semantic structure with landmarks, heading hierarchy and declared language;
- “Skip to content” link and visible focus indicator;
- labels associated with form fields;
- errors and outcomes of actions announced to assistive technologies through live regions;
- keyboard handling in dialogs (focus trap, Esc key, focus restoration);
- respect for the system preference for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- form error messages are not yet programmatically associated with the field that generated them: people using a screen reader hear the error, but do not always understand which field it refers to. A fix is in progress;
- some secondary text may not reach the optimal contrast ratio: improvement in progress;
- some decorative images may not yet be optimally marked up for assistive technologies;
- the interactive map has keyboard navigation limitations due to the third-party library used.
